Ziel der Arbeit ist es ein autonomes Nano-U-Boot herzustellen und zu untersuchen. Als Antrieb soll ein Motorprotein verwendet werden.
Es ist eine Laser Mikroskopiemethode umzusetzen, mit der sich die Hydrodynamik einzelner Nanostrukturen untersuchen lässt. Zudem soll eine
optische Falle aufgebaut werden. Das Arbeitsgebiet beinhaltet zudem Oberflächenchemie, 3-D Nanostrukturierung, optische Spektroskopietechniken
und in geringem Umfang biochemisches Arbeiten.

(e.g. functionalized metal nanoparticles, semiconductor quantum dots, and organic-inorganic nanocomposites) and
functional organic molecules (e.g. photoswitches) with the aim to develop new strategies for assembly, nanofabrication,
propulsion, tetherless biomedical devices, low-Reynolds swimmers, and highly parallel autonomous micro-systems.
