Surface functionalization using Single-Molecule Magnets

The goal of this project is to synthesize single-molecule magnets (SMM) with a highly anisotropic ligand field and use them for surface functionalization. These surface layers will then be investigated using various magnetometric and spectroscopic methods like EPR, MCD, SQUID, and IR. A further aim is also to achieve spatially resolved readout of the SMM magnetization on the surface.
