The static and dynamic electronic and geometric structure of catalysts in porous polymers

In this project different iron complexes are investigated with a range of analytical methods, such as IR, MCD, EPR, NMR and Mössbauer spectroscopy. The complex acts as a model complex in order to understand the nature of this and other catalysts. In a second step, the complex is incorporated in different matrices. The goal is the understanding of the behaviour of the catalytic center in such confined environments.
