Universal Testing Machine

Model zwickiLine 5 kN, ZwickRoell GmbH & Co. KG

Equipment for studying the mechanical properties of solids

The universal testing machine “zwickiLine 5 kN” by ZwickRoell GmbH & Co. KG is used to investigate the mechanical properties of solids by compressing the samples. The velocity of the traverse can be varied between 0.0005 and 600 mm/min and has a repetition accuracy of ± 2 µm. The high drive control frequency of 1000 Hz enables a fast and precise force as well as strain control.

The machine is directly coupled to a PC by “testControl II electronics”. The “testXpert II” software enables a digital display of the measured data on the PC as well as the opportunity to work with this data. If the machine is not used, the “Eco mode” automatically switches on to save energy.
