Optically Switchable Two Quantum Bit Systems
The aim of this project is the synthesis of optically switchable two quantum bit systems and the investigation of their coherence properties as well as their optical properties. The two quantum bit systems contain two organic radicals linked via an anthracene-based bridge. The compounds are characterized by cw-EPR spectroscopy. For the investigation of quantum coherence, pulsed EPR spectroscopy is used. Furthermore, UV- and luminescence spectroscopy are applied to investigate the optical properties of the compounds.
